Greetings from Paris!!!

Sunday September 20, 2009

Well, it’s been one helluva week…a little roller coaster ride for me!!! Mostly ‘cause of the jet lag. All I can say is that I really detest Jet LAG!!! JET LAG! What a concept! What a drag!!! Finally, I think I’ve come through the other end of it… Thank the heavens for that because Jet Lag is a waste of time and it is soooooo boring! The thought of being in such a beautiful city as Paris, surrounded by culture, and I can’t get my head off the pillow in the morning! My head is so heavy…sooooo heavy that there were a couple of days that I slept through, not 1, not 2….but 3 alarms! Clamored out of bed because I was late for this or that…missing my run in the park because I did not hear the alarm…missing out on life because I did not hear the alarm…ALARM…ALARMS!!!! I don’t like missing out on life! I feel like I’ve wasted too much time already!!!

But today, I finally feel more alive! Which is a good thing because the jet lag was also playing with my head and I was feeling oh so depressed…Depression is not a good thing! Especially when I have one week to go before I fight the AMAZING SWEDISH WRESTLER, LINA!!! At MONICA’S EVENT in London!! One week from today!!! Did I mention SPONSORS??!!!! Ok, I’ve mentioned Sponsors, over and over and over and over and over and over……..and I’m not going to say the word “SPONSOR” again in this diary…But let me emphasize that ONLY my WEBSITE MEMBERS and the “wonderful guys who come through for me for this upcoming event” (get it??) will be the ONLY ones who get the inside scoop on how I feel before, during and after my match with Lina!!! Mark my words…the rest of you will just have to wonder……………………………………………………..

And, I do hope that everyone has enjoyed all the photos and videos of my Live Event which took place on August 15! The Feed back that I’ve received was AWESOME and I thank each and everyone of you who made it possible!!!! And you never know, I could have my arm twisted to do one more…perhaps…just one more…

So, at the moment it is 11.30 PM in Paris and I’m absolutely exhausted! Didn’t work out a bit today.. although, it was a beautiful day. A friend picked me up and drove me outside of the city… to the West of Paris and it was a gorgeous, warm, sunny day! I had a lovely lunch and saw some beautiful countryside and quiet villages. It lifted my spirits. I was supposed to go to a party tonight but couldn’t muster the energy in the end. So I’m here… sitting and writing and wondering about where my life is going…WELL, that’s ME!!! Always wondering what the hell I’m doing with my life? And kicking myself for wasting any time that can be spent being a part of… and exploring… and creating something in this world…and perhaps in some way making a difference to someone or to something ….but, at the end of the day, does any of it really matter? Maybe and Maybe not…I really don’t have the answer to that question and I doubt that anyone does…so for the moment I will not dwell on it…

Hey, I traveled here with my yoga mat! OOOOOH, I’ve been feeling great about my POWER YOGA (Ashtanga yoga) and how flexible I’ve been feeling and how that makes me feel oh so good!!! YOGA WORKS! It does! I have fallen in love with my yoga mat!!! It’s crazy!!! In fact I cannot wait to be face to face with that purple mat in the morning!!

Funny, I speak of flexibility!!! I was given a very gracious gift…a ticket to see“Les Etoles du 21st siecle” at the Theatre des Champs Elysess last night. Now this was really something to see because it presented some of the BEST Ballet dancers from the most prestigious companies in the world. The entire program was fantastic and of course, there were some dancers that really stood apart from the rest. I, particularly, liked the dancers from the Scottish Ballet, Ballet d’ Opera de Berlin and Nederalands Dans Theatre… BUT there was one dancer who was absolutely riveting, so much so, that I haven’t stopped thinking about his performance for more than 24 hours!!! This young man FLEW through the air with such gusto and flexibily and humour!!! YES HUMOUR!!! The JOY in his face as he danced was so uplifting!!! I have not seen a dancer like this since Baryshnikov (and I read a review on this young dancer today, likening him to Baryshnikov, so it’s not only my impression!!!) You could not help but to be in AWE and SMILE watching his amazing performance. Check him out! Daniil Simkin. What an absolute Delight to behold his art!! Oh to fly like that would be so magical!!! Right???

OK, enough…enough…I only hope to be flexible and strong and hold my own against Lina in Monica’s Event in London next Saturday! Hey, you know, it is a JOY to be invited there to wrestle amongst such talented girls! I should thank my lucky stars for my lovely life…even if I am subjected to jet lag from time to time!

Oh, and THANK YOU for being a part of my life and coming to website and my diary!!!

Going to bed in beautiful Paris now…(sure wish my doggies were here!!)

Peace and Love,

Robin xxx
