.. I’m back on an airplane heading to my family reunion. I had 4 hours sleep last night so, needless to say, I’m pretty beat. normally, I would have gone on Friday, but since my Uncle was diagnosed with brain cancer, my family decided to go for a couple of extra days. Besides, it takes a day to get to the remote location where my family is from! Two flights and a 3 hour drive by car! I could get from LA to Woodstock, NY in that amount of time. Why did I just pull Woodstock out of nowhere as an analogy? I have no idea! Oh well…
I’m not sure what this weekend will be like. Quite depressing, I imagine, in some ways, but it’s always good to be around family. My uncle isn’t that old. It makes you think about life and how it is constantly changing. Somehow I’m brought back the philosophy of Fate vs Free Will. Are our destinies fated? What do you think? Do the choices we make directly or indirectly determine the outcome of our lives? Or when we are born, is our fate predetermined? For Instance, Air France flight 447 from Brazil? Maybe because I’m on airplanes so much of my life and I really dislike being confined in these things, I have this on my mind! One has absolutely no control once they shut those doors…But it is my choice to take the flights, to go to different cities and do sessions. When a plane crashes, it seems to disturb me on a much deeper level than other horrible disasters because I relate to that experience of flying. The crash of flight 447 upset me terribly. So much so that I drank quite a bit of champagne with some of my close friends in London the night before I flew back to Los Angeles. I stayed up very late with Celeste, Mistress Amritas and some other friends at a little pub in Barnes. I was too tired the following morning after our very merry night of bubbles, soaking away my pre-jet jitters, to feel too terribly nervous on the plane, but I did note about 4 hours into the long boring flight that it was about this time that the Air France flight 447 flight hit a storm with tremendous turbulence and the plane began to fall apart. I’ve been through horrific turbulence on a plane that has dropped 5,000 feet and it is unnerving and there are always some relief when it all come to an end….but the turbulence didn’t end for these poor passengers and I have no doubt they knew they were going to die a sudden, horrific death. Was it the fate of each of these passengers predetermined at birth? Was it my Uncle’s fate to have brain cancer? Or were there choices that could have been made that would change everything? OH HERE I GO AGAIN!!! Robin, what is wrong with you? You always come to this diary and you sound soooooo morbid! Ok, sorry guys! I’m really a pretty happy person with a lot of deep thoughts and questions and trying to understand why? Or if? Or but?
So back to the long flight home…I tuned into a ridiculous kid’s film, “Hotel for Dogs”. Why? I have no idea but I think I wanted the comfort of watching all those DOGS! Absolutely comical, they were! The movie was, actually, very sweet, and I found myself crying (embarrassing to do on a flight!) All those lovely dogs! Needless to say, I was very happy to get home to my doggies and have loads of cuddles. And of course, T and Eli, my gaybours’ dogs were also thrilled to see me and Mijo, my other neighbour’s dog came to say hello for the first 4 days I was home! He loves staying at my house. 6 happy dogs and suddenly I said out loud, “I have a mini hotel for dogs!”

I’m also hoping to attend Monica’s Event on September 26 in London. I will need sponsors for that, as I plan on a shared video rights deal with Monica and Richard. That means that I pay my own way and I get to sell the video of the match that I fight in. I’m not 100% sure who my opponent will be yet, but I guarantee that it will be someone who I have to train very hard to fight against! Ok, guys, I could ramble here forever but I have a lot to catch up on before I meet up with my family for the reunion. If you don’t mind, please say a prayer for my dear Uncle, who was diagnosed just 3 weeks ago with brain cancer. It’s inoperable and the prognosis doesn’t look good, but miracles can happen, if fate is on our side.
