It’s around 2:23 in the morning in Paris and i can’t sleep because I’m nervous about my match with Xana. I have an enormous amount of respect for all the girls who were trained by Beatrice Goffin. I have seen Xana fight and she is extremely skilled and strong…and I’m guessing her upper body is stronger than mine. yes, I’m nervous….Sure, i do want to win…I really want to win but more than that I’m thrilled that I get to fight her and see what will happen. And my sponsors made this dream of mine come true. I’m more excited about this match than any other match i’ve fought in quite some time…So I’m going to bed now…finally…Sybil Starr, who is one of my closest wrestling pals sent me something tonight and I want to share it here. “It is not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. So for that I am thankful…Sybil Starr is an amazing fighter and I loved my matches against her. So, this, coming from her really struck some chord within me…

Oh, just a funny little note before I sign off…Quentin Tarantino was having dinner next to my friend, Celeste and me, at a lovely little restaurant called Allard in rue des Beaux Arts last weekend. He sat with a beautiful Asian woman who I recognized as a martial artists in films…We started talking and it came up in conversation that I was wrestling against a Russian Girl the following weekend in Paris. Quentin’s eyes lit up! He is very animated…Wondered more about it…i said closed to the public. Celeste gave him her business card…but we heard nothing more. She thought we would …I knew better. I’d met QT in West Hollywood several years ago at Take Sushi on Sunset, next to the Viper Room. He was a sushi virgin that night. My friend, Carl and I, had to tell him what to try. He was like an excited little boy… very animated once again…The man loves martial arts. Xana and I could have really taught him something about fighting!!!!
