We are in another heat wave in LA…
I got home from my trip to Chicago, Raleigh and NYC on Friday night. It was a great trip and a big thank you goes out to everyone that I wrestled! I was pretty tired when I got home…mentally and physically.
I had 2 competitive matches against Grace and Yana scheduled for Saturday at 1 PM. I did not receive enough sponsorships to pay for the matches, but I had promised Grace and Yana the fights so I did them anyway. They are great matches. Both Grace and Yana are exceptional grapplers…trained, initially. by the great Helen Von Mott and both continue to train now. Grace stepped onto the mat at 150 lbs. I figured she would be the tougher of the two, so I wrestled her first. Because of the limited sponsorship money, each match was approximately 20 minutes….Grace was a very tough match for me. She is relaxed and calculating when she wrestles. She has a vast knowledge of Brazilian Jujitsu and because I stepped onto the mats at 118 lbs, I had a weight disadvantage. The match is a heated sweaty battle. Trust me, I was shaking when this one was over…but I had to go straight into the next one against Yana…(I think I had a 10 minute break). Yana stepped onto the mat at 135 pounds. She is strong and very fast! Although, I felt stronger in this match, I felt the wrath of her incredible legs and gruelling arm bar the following 2 days!!! Both matches have a decisive winner…no draws this time. Each match is for sale on dvd now for $37 each or $55 for both plus shipping. Email me for details….fightbabe@gmail.com.

I would like to explain why I ask for sponsorships….Competitive matches are tough and there is a bigger possibility of injury and also a lot of wear and tear on the body…It’s necesary to put a lot of hours in per week to train. Training in not free. It costs me a lot of money. I have to pay the other girls and my cameramen and that’s pretty pricey. There is a lot of competition out there now and there are no guarantees that the matches will sell…I’m not getting into a heated competitive match for my own enjoyment. I run a business and in order to keep the business running, I need to make money. I don’t ask for a hand out with the sponsorships. I offer the photos, dvds of the matches and other dvds, etc that add up to more than the sponsorship that is given. That is the incentive for “one” to help sponsor the matches. I get to produce the matches and hopefully everyone is happy. So far I think everyone that has offered to sponsor has been happy with what they have received….
OK, just thought I’d explain that a little. I know some other producers were complaining about it…
Last night I went to the screening of the film I was in, “Teacher’s Lounge”…My friends raved about me (well they would, wouldn’t they? They were sitting with me!). I have to admit, it was one of the worst films I’ve seen. But god bless, JD, for giving me the part. It was still a lot of fun to do….I’ll see if I can get the footage at some point and put it on the site!
